The Blog
The Site aims to give easily understood reviews on gadgets,apps and anything else that a technologically inclined person may want to have some knowledge of. The idea is to decipher the technology and the features, so that you can ‘decide’ whether you want to try any of them. That was the genesis of the name ‘Deciding Edge’.
A lot is happening in the world of gadgets and tech-based entertainment. So it really helps if someone deciphers it all. This helps us get a bird’s eye view of these technologies, including the prices (which I try to include). The idea is that just by reading the posts on Deciding Edge, you can decide what is it that you would like to acquire or download (as the case may be), and whether the technology is something you can afford.
Deciding Edge was an idea that came to me because of my experiences with technology. I would often discuss new gadgets and games with others. Most of our information was based on visits to many websites and blogs. I often wished there was a site which could give a bird’s eye view of it all, and one could read everything just in one place. This idea rooted itself deep, and one day I decided to start a blog (decidingedge @blogspot.com). Everyone liked the blog a lot, so I decided a while back that I should upgrade to a dotcom, and reach out to more people and get a more interactive arrangement in place.
My Target Audience: The contemporary techno-savvy person who is my primary target audience has a range of interests. They like to know what’s up when it comes to gadgets, phones, PCs, games (PS3, Xbox,PC and Wii etc.). They also want to know which are the movies worth watching and the good shows on TV. I have thus included all these elements in my posts. They already know what ‘Symbian’ and ‘Android’ are, so I don’t need to explain myself too much. I just give inputs based on the assumption of some basic knowledge; it keeps things simple and brief.

Whenever we look at a site which provides such information, we wonder who the person behind the articles is. Well I’m a 14-year-old student who lives in Bangalore, India’s technology hub no doubt. I’ve been writing about internet and technology and have been interested in tech-based entertainment for a while now. I am still young in the blogging world and am trying to get as much exposure as I can.
