The next addition to the Need for Speed franchise, Need For Speed – Most Wanted (2012) is the sequel to the very popular and successful Need for Speed – Most Wanted(2005).
Although it is the sequel, the only thing in common with the prequel is that it has the ”Most Wanted List” concept.
As disappointing as this was, the game still proves to be successful in gameplay. Killer gameplay, beautiful graphics, vibrant city and mind boggling cars. These are the factors that define the game. Sadly, there isn’t any story-line as such.
The game starts off with us driving an Aston Martin. From the start our goal is to defeat the most wanted racers and climb our way up on the list , and eventually dominate the streets of Fairhaven, the city where we drive.
As usual, we are chased by cops frequently, and let me tell you this, they are not to be taken as lightly as we took them last time. These cops are pretty hard to evade, and are even harder to counter.
Car handling is quite realistic while we are not drifting, but as soon as you experience your first drift, you fall in love with the game. The drifting seems to be inherited from the widely successful Need For Speed – Hot Pursuit (2010).
There is no concept of money in the game, the only things that we can earn are the ”speed points”, which only have value on the Most Wanted List .
The only visual modifications for the car that exist are the paint colour. Performance modifications are unlocked by racing, and not by usual method of purchasing from a garage. There are about 6-7 performance modifications per car. The list of car is full of surprises. From the most popular and latest to those we have never heard about. The game contains beauties like the Bugatti Veyron super sports, the Lamborghini Aventador, and many more.
Overall , this game has many negative and many positive factors but the overwhelming gameplay easily shuns the negative factors .
This game is a must-play. It just cannot be ignored!
