Mylo Xyloto is the fifth studio album by the British band Coldplay,with an extraordinary name as usual(no wonder he named his daughter apple). The album released a few songs before in June and then later in September.The album wholly was released on October 24.
It was the fifth time their album was at the top of the charts in U.K selling 208,000 copies in the first week and third time in the U.S. as pointed out by the Billboard 200,selling 447,ooo copies also in the first week.Mylo Xyloto is at No.1 in the Billboard 200 followed by Kelly Clarkson at No.2,Micheal Buble at No.3 and Adele at No.4
Many of you may be wondering what Mylo Xyloto means as told,Will Champion was tired of telling everyone the meaning.Mylo Xyloto is based on ”a love story with a happy ending”,it is about two people Mylo and Xyloto who meet each other through a gang and fall in love.
The song ‘Princess of China’ features Rihanna but right now Rihanna’s single ‘We Found Love’ is the one Coldplay tried to tackle.
The album got an odd set of reviews, some were very good and some were bad.The Rolling Stones gave it a 7/10 and Entertainment weekly gave it a 5/10.
