This articles tells you about the major changes that took place on Deciding Edge over the past 3 months that we have been live on WordPress. There are 4 major changes that I am going to share with you in this post.
Our Alexa Rank Has Improved
Over the past 3 months,from which we have been on WordPress our Alexa rank has changed drastically.We probably started at a 9 digit number and we are down to six.Alexa rank is also traffic rank,that means our readers too have increased.Our Alexa Global Rank(today) is 267,481 and 24,528 in India.I mentioned today there as the rank changes daily.
We Are Using A New Theme
I recently bought a new theme from the most popular online shop for themes,Theme Forest.Theme Forest has a vast collection of themes,so it took me a while to choose a good theme.I wanted a magazine theme and Continuum seemed the best,but I didn’t only buy because of the looks,I also bought it because of it’s features.As you know I also do gadget reviews and movie reviews here,for such things Continuum has a special feature with star rating and description of movie or gadget.It also lists and actors and directors and release dates and companies in a better way.I recommend Continuum if you have a blog with a similar niche as mine.
We Are Now A Do-Follow Blog
Now all the readers who leave their valuable comment on a post of mine will get quality back-lines from me.Many readers just read the blog posts but never share their thoughts about it by commenting.Therefore I have made Deciding Edge a do-follow blog and added the CommentLuv Widget.Now every time a user comments they will get a back-line from me and the post of their choice will be displayed with the comment.
We Now Accept Individual Advertising
By individual advertising I mean that advertisers can now come and contact me directly if they want their ads to be displayed here.I still have the good old Google Adsense but now I have added a few banners and buttons available to sale.The buttons are available for the sidebar and banners are available for spots below the post and comments,also next to the heading.To see the pricing and more details go to Advertising on Deciding Edge
